Dr. Pence is fully licensed psychologist specializing in cognitive-behavioral treatment of childhood and adult obsessive-compulsive disorder, as well as anxiety disorders in Bloomfield Hills, MI. Dr. Pence practices evidenced-based treatment for OCD, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, Social Phobia, Trichotillomania, Excoriation (Skin-Picking) Disorder, GAD, Depression, and Selective Mutism. Prior to opening up his own practice in both Florida and Michigan, Dr. Pence completed a fellowship at the University of Florida where he focused on treating severe and refractory cases of OCD in the Department of Psychiatry and later joined the faculty of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of South Florida Rothman Center for Neuropsychiatry. He was trained by internationally recognized OCD expert, Dr. Eric Storch and was an active member of the OCD program. At these programs, Dr. Pence supervised postdoctoral fellows, psychiatry residents, and graduate students and provided lectures and presentations it the Department of Psychiatry. 95% of Dr. Pence's patients have OCD and or other related anxiety disorders. Dr. Pence has treated patients from many states and other countries through his intensive outpatient therapy programs.
