Applied Kinesiology:
AK is an interdisciplinary approach to healthcare, which draws together core elements of complimentary therapies, creating a more unified approach to the diagnosis and treatment of functional illnesses. Functional assessment measures are used in posture, gait analysis, manual muscle testing, range of motion, static palpation and motion analysis.
Nutrition:
We provide nutritional counseling for our patients, and encourage and educate them on how to incorporate a healthy diet into their lifestyle. In specific cases we provide nutritional supplementation and use such high quality products as Standard process, Biotics, and Metagenics.
Kinesiotaping:
Developed 35 years ago, by Dr. Kenzo Kase, Kinesiotaping has become the gold standard for therapeutic and rehabilitative taping. Most recently popularized by its wide use in 2010’s Vancouver’s Winter Olympics, Lance Armstrong, and Serena Williams.
Kinesiotape is latex free and has the same elasticity built in as your skin. It acts to normalize muscle tone, promote lymphatic and blood flow, and helps to reduce pain in an injured area.
While Kinesiotape provides the required support, it allows the muscles and joints to move through complete range of motion while the body heals itself. Additional Services Dr. Corneal holds the higest certification in his specialty, a DIBAK in Applied Kinesiology.
