Nice Dr, nice staff, etc, but they're only open 3 days a week??? What's the point of being in practice if you're going to be closed more days a week than you're open??? I found it very frustrating being a patient with them, since every time I needed them they were CLOSED. Because of their terrible business hours, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Maybe I'm wrong, but it doesn't seem patient health and wellness are at the top of a practice's list when they are closed as much as this place is.

Before letting any orthopedic doctor do surgery on you, telling you that you have degenerated disks in your back, you need things trimmed back from the nerves in surgery, arthritis scraped out etc. GO HERE FIRST! You might even be told you need KNEE replacement or your ligaments in your legs removed around your knees as I was, DO NOT BELIEVE THAT ORTHOPEDIC DOCTOR until you go here FIRST. The orthopedic doctors in Midwest City fed me tons of pain medications for FOUR years, told me I needed knee replacement, back surgery, my ligament around my knee removed! I worked for a doctor, had studied medicine, I REFUSED to let them cut me up.
Finally, I asked around to find a doctor that was truly a good doctor. A receptionist told me to see Dr. Gunderson. After looking at my MRI he told me all I needed was a chiropractor to shove those bones back into place the semi driver had slammed out of place in an accident in 2006. He said I didn't need surgery, I would get better with a chiropractor that knew what he was doing. Finally, an honest doctor! The other Midwest City Orthopedic doctors by the old Target Store by the police station had tried to get me under the knife to take out my knees and replace them, my ligaments, back surgery! Horrible painful procedures. I just did not want to be cut up. My daughter let a doctor talk her into back surgery, it destroyed her life. So many people have told me, 'don't let them cut your back.' Why? They had and it was a mistake they didn't want others to make.
This Chiropractor makes a difference, a big difference. He doesn't take a long time in the sessions but IT WORKS. I can walk without limping now, the pain isn't as severe, I have reduced my necessary dosage of pain meds in 1/2! It's taking time to get my body to accept the reduction, withdraw from such high doses the orthopedic doctor had me on but it's slowly allowing me to be able to get up, walk without taking THREE pain 7.5 Loritabs in the morning. I could not get out of bed before I had pain meds, the pain was too severe. I could not sleep for the pain, I had to take them at different times at night, it was horrible.
I can actually get up now without ONE pain pill and walk! My feet hurt due to becoming a bit overweight, my nerves are accustomed to being totally numb from the pain medication.
Now, to get my body to accept lower levels of pain meds and still let me walk, move about without pain which, this chiropractor has helped greatly. Teaching my body to all over again to accept movement, walking without numbness from pain medication. Sure, my feet tingle, the nerves are withdrawing, learning to adjust to normal use but I welcome it. As soon as the compression of the nerves leaves, the pain medication withdraw is gone I will be free.
My right ankle crunched horribly when I moved it around until I went to this chiropractor.
After he has treated it, it no longer crunches at all when I move it.
A pinched nerve that caused numbness in my right foot and leg, tingling then later on, extreme pain as if I were walking on a knife blade caused me to have to take up to 240 pain pills a month JUST TO WALK! With treatment from this chiropractor, most of this pain is gone now! I can WALK AGAIN just as another patient commented while leaving when I first started going there. Others told me this is the first chiropractor that has helped them in the Midwest City area! I believe them! He has helped me tremendously! Go there and let him help you! After all, that semi almost killed me. Had he been able to hit me 6 inches further into my pickup the doctor said I would be dead. It was a horrific horrible impact.
No one is paying me to tell you these things, I am telling you because I have been greatly helped and want others to be helped. This is a great alternative that should put many orthopedic doctors on the back burner that work around the Midwest City Hospital with the exception of Dr. Olsen, he is a good orthopedic doctor I would recommend. The chiropractor is the fist however, Lovette is a fantastic chiropractor, I believe, that can actually help you!
He is #1 on my list!
