$1,200 (out of pocket). 60 visits. Pain got worse.
I visited this place while on break from my dance job back in June of last year. After being convinced that I needed to get my back fixed, and seeing the Xray for myself, I started treatment in October. At first, I felt like the pain was getting worse and it was uncomfortable more often than before. I figured it was just because it was irritated and moving back into place. At my half way Xray, there was absolutely ZERO change. But it wasn't only the Xray that wasn't showing results. I wasn't feeling any better. Still, I continued treatment in a good attempt to follow through. I did not feel comfortable knowing there was something wrong with my back and not getting it fixed. I expressed my concerns to Dr. Kemp and he didn't make any drastic changes. It wasn't until after I spoke with Dr. Alexander and in the last two weeks that Dr. Kemp found a treatment that was actually relieving the pain during therapy. I guess it's partially my fault for not speaking up and asking to get Dr. Alexander's opinion early on. By the end of it all, they wanted to say that "dancers are the hardest to fix", or something along those lines as an excuse to why they changed absolutely nothing for my bone structure or pain level. It was such a waste of time and money. I find it very difficult to trust chiropractors now, but I really need to get this issue fixed because it feels like it's getting worse. And the kicker is, I'm not even dancing like I was when this whole problem arose! I am beating myself up for not doing more research before I jumped into this experience. The only reason I'm giving them any stars is because Emma, the receptionist was amazingly welcoming and flexible..as well as the therapists in the back, especially Stella. Anyhow, this review is not to bash this establishment. I have heard many stories myself about how both doctors have successfully helped patients. This is just to provide caution to people who are thinking about trying this out. Do your research. It is not guaranteed and it does not work for everyone. Good luck!
