I was very unhappy with my appointment with Dr. Bergeron. I have been to many chiropractors in the past, some alright, some fantastic, but never one that was as bad as Dr. Bergeron. Within the last year I was treated at another chiropractor (before I moved to CO) for the same condition, so I am familiar with how long it should take to fix my alignment problem and certain adjustments that are beneifical. Starting off the appointment, I arrived early, filled out the paperwork early, and was taken late by the doctor, even though there was no one else there. He had me change into a gown, which is not normal practice! I was very uncomfortable doing this, since I was not at a normal doctors appt for a physical or anything, but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt, just in case he suspected something that he needed to have me undressed for. But alas, no, I was just sitting there exposed, because that is how he's always done it. He did an extensive pre-exam, which took over an hour. Again, I have never had a chiropractor check my eyes, punch (literally punch) my kidneys, check my lungs, etc. I was there for an adjustment, not a physical. Throughout my "phyiscal" and medical history, Dr. Bergeron had his secretary sitting in the room taking notes on his antiquated computer program (literally the most confusing program ever), I felt bad for the secretary since she had no idea how to input the information, which only added to the length of my appointment. After all the pre-adjustment stuff, the adjustment started. I know a lot about the adjustment process, having gone so many times, however, most of his adjustments were foreign to me. Whenever I'd ask him why he was doing a certain thing, he always just told me it was "magic". This is not an acceptable answer, I want to know exactly what you are doing to my body and why. I asked the same question many times, and he kept giving me the same answer, which leads me to believe he doesn't actually know why, he just does it cause its the way he's always done it-also not acceptable. I have since talked to other chiropractors, and they said based on my condition, Dr. Bergeron never should have performed certain adjustments on me, he only exacerbated my situation. I walked out of the appointment feeling worse than when I went in, I gave it a few days, and found another chiropractor. It took just 3 visits for me to be healed by the other chiro, and I was feeling better after the initial adjustment. I would not recommend Dr. Bergeron to anyone looking for relief from their symptoms.

I was not happy with my visit to Dr. Bergeron. It was my first chiropractor experience, so I didn't know what to expect and had questions about what his treatments would do to help me. I felt like I was getting the run around - his "sense of humor" did not help me to take him seriously. If I ask what something is doing to help me, "magic!" is not the response I am looking for! Some additional complaints: I arrived 20 minutes early to fill out the paperwork. I completed it before my scheduled appointment... and my appointment started fifteen minutes late! No one else was at the facility, just me, the doctor, and the secretary. Dr. Bergeron took me in the back to review my medical history, but his computer was not running well (I'm a bit of a computer guru - this man is using a machine at least seven years old, and it is not well maintained). He apologized for the computer delay and tried a reboot. Ten minutes later... the computer was still not working. So where did he take my medical history? On the secretary's nice computer in the waiting area. Yikes! Sure, no one else was there, but it felt really unprofessional. FURTHERMORE, he had the secretary join us back in the examination room to write down his measurements before my first alignment - something that apparently would normally be entered by Dr. Bergeron on the computer. I was not stoked about the secretary joining us in the examination room. She was polite and all, but... I felt a little over-exposed. I wanted to give Dr. Bergeron the benefit of the doubt - I had spent money on the visit, after all! But one week later, the pain I came in to have taken care of is persisting. Do not recommend... I wish I could get my money back. Hopefully I can find a cure for my pain somewhere else.
