John Thacker is an experienced practitioner in the scope of one of the oldest healing practices in the world. He aims to restore and maintain health through the stimulation of specific points on the body. John encourages active patient participation in one’s own health care. As an Acupuncturist, he decides which points to treat by observing and questioning the patient in order to make a diagnosis to act upon. This process works well in conjunction with Western Medicine and does not interfere with drug therapy. John gets to know his patients well by asking about condition, lifestyle, and behavior. His understanding, kind and caring personality are assets to the patient. He is very sincere and compassionate and takes a 1:1 approach. John’s outstanding professionalism is evident through his knowledge and skilled technique. I can highly recommend John to anyone. His practice offers a “comfort zone” which many patients long for regarding a non-drug approach for relief or prevention of pain and other conditions. -T. Aust, RPh Salem, VA
