Dr. Shorrock has been serving the Pompano and Fort Lauderdale community since 1983. East Side Vision Center is a full service family vision center. Comprehensive eye examinations, a full service optical, convenient hours and a caring staff, set us apart from other practices. Dr. Shorrock specializes in that "hard to fit" contact lens and has had much success with bifocal contacts. She is very active in the community, and currently is the Past President of the Board of Directors of the Lighthouse for the Blind in Broward County.

Friendly, competent and thorough.

I give this Dr. the highest possible recommendation. She takes ample time with me during my annual exam-and clearly explains(in language that I can understand)the purpose and results of each test performed. There is an excellent choice of eyeglass frames offered at her office--however,I have never been pressured to buy the more expensive frames(to the contrary-I am on a tight budget-and Dr, Shorrock was sensitive to this and recommended less expensive frames). Her office staff is very efficient-I've never been put on hold and they've always helped schedule convenient appointments. Also, Dr. Shorrock has ALWAYS seen me at my scheduled time. I hate when one has a 1pm appt. and has to wait until 1:45 to be seen. There's none of that there.

Dr Shorrock takes time to read my file BEFORE I see her--and tells me when she starts the exam where I was during the prior year. She is very sensitive to my concerns as my eyes change while I am getting older. VERY personable and I always feel extremely comfortable with her.
I have recommended her to a friend,who is very pleased,as well-and thanked me for the referral.
I can only suggest the same for anyone that reads this. I wish that all of my doctors(or any of my other doctors)treated me,as a patient,in the way that she does. On time,kind,sensitive to my concerns and overall,while nobody wants to take time to go to the Dr. she makes the experience a good one!

This is definitely where you want to get your eye exam!
