Dixie Small is a nationally board certified, state licensed acupuncturist. She uses acupuncture, acupressure, Chinese Herbal Medicine, dietary therapy, myofascial relase techniques including cupping according to the needs of each individual. Dixie earned a masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM). Prior to moving to Oregon, she studied Geography, Social Work, and International Studies in Pensacola, Florida at the University of West Florida earning a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from there. She completed her general education studies at the University of Florida. Dixie spent several years in between her studies working seasonally in the Alaska.
Dixie is licensed to practice Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine by the Oregon Medical Board and holds a Diplomat in Acupuncture from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oreintal Medicine (NCCAOM). She is also a member in good standing of the Oregon Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (OAAOM) and the American Acupuncture Council (AAC). She also serves as a member of the Board of the OAAOM.
