About

Gregory Gray, MD

I received my BS and MS in nutrition from UC Davis and my PhD and MD from the University of Southern California. I completed my residency in general psychiatry at the LA County-USC Medical Center and then spent several years on the USC and UCLA medical school faculties before entering private practice. I am the author of numerous publications in the fields of nutrition, psychopharmacology, and evidence-based medicine. I provide psychiatric services to adults, primarily through tele-psychiatry. I believe in treating the whole person, not just symptoms. In addition to medications and brief psychotherapy, treatment may involve lifestyle modifications (such as diet and physical activity) and mind-body techniques such as meditation.

I love that they are always more than happy to answer my questions, and actually welcome questions. I've felt awkward at some other places I've visited when I've tried to ask a lot of questions, but not here. They never have that typical, annoying music playing here. If they do play music it is soothing and appropriate for the setting. They did a very thorough investigation of my medical history to make sure that I would receive the most beneficial treatment. I felt like they really cared about me. I've heard of a few psychiatrists that took personal phone calls during appointments, and I always thought that was so rude. Thankfully, they've never done that here. Their full attention is always completely on me.
