In Oncology Massage we use a specialized protocol that addresses our clients personal needs based on the effects of their cancer, their cancer treatment history, and their current health condition on the day of the massage. Cancer and cancer treatment have strong and unique effects on the body and it is important that the massage therapy session be adapted to these effects, and Elizabeth has the training to do this safely and effectively.

Elizabeth Forest holds a 610-hour Massage Therapist and Health Educator certificate from the National Holistic Institute, California. She is a Professional Member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), and has been practicing massage therapy since 1995. Elizabeth is also a member of the Society for Oncology Massage (S4OM).Elizabeth has also received training in Oncology Massage. Elizabeth uses Swedish massage techniques ranging from firmly gentle to deep tissue, to reduce muscular soreness and increase the bodys circulation. She also uses Shiatsu techniques that include gentle stretching and acupressure, which is using finger pressure to hold acupuncture points promoting the flow of Chi, or Life Force, through the bodys energy pathways. Breathing cues and energy work are also incorporated in a massage session to help you relax and unwind. You can also have crystal therapy to help balance the subtle energies of the body.
