Eliza received a BA in Medical Anthropology and Sociology at Earlham College, and a Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) from The New England School of Acupuncture in 2001. Eliza is licensed by the Board of Registration in Medicine of Massachusetts, and is a board-certified Diplomate of the National Commission for Certification in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She has done expensive post-graduate clinical training with Kiiko Matsumoto, founder of the acupuncture program at Harvard Medical School.
Eliza is trained in Traditional Chinese, Japanese, 5 element, Scalp, Auricular, Kiiko, Korean, and LASER styles of acupuncture. She is committed to the integration of Traditional medicine and Western medicine. To that end she combines the latest technology and research with traditional wisdom to form a coherent, safe and optimally effective clinical style.
Eliza is one of very few certified practitioners of LASER Acupuncture in Massachusetts.
Eliza has a decade of clinical and research experience and success in the area of Womens health and infertility.
Eliza has worked for the last ten years with Olympic Athletes, marathoners, triathletes, professional athletes and laypeople in the area of Sports medicine, and acute and chronic pain. She studied with the official Acupuncturist of the US rowing team as a post-graduate to further her understanding of Sports Medicine and Musculo-skeletal Pain and injury.
