Dr. Michael Sossenheimer, I highly respect I have been getting my esophageal dilations quite often because I wasn't able to get medication to go down, bad acid reflex food coming back up and all other GI doctors never told me I had some serious issue but kept stretching my esophagus. Dr. Sossenheimer ran the swallowing test, inserted a camera inside my esophagus and other test which show I had failed everything that the camera was searching for which basically indicted surgery was necessary. Dr. Sossenheiner sat down with me and discussed my issues telling me the muscle above the esophagus was damaged, esophagus had erosion which I know could become cancerous because that's what my mom died of. Then we discussed what would be best for my medical issues. I was referred to Dr. Michael McKinnley for surgery. I thank my regular Medical doctor Dr. Brian Drage for referring me to Dr. Sossenheiner because I would of never found out what was wrong with me, and all the other GI doctors in that building Barrnett, Desetaul, and Heiner would of just kept stretching my esophagus. Sad but they never requested that I do any testing to find out what was wrong with me and looking back at the photos that these doctors gave me clear back 2012-2013 and forward the photos show erosion, Hernia gerd and not one of these doctors mentioned I need further testing. I am so great full that I was sent to the right doctor. I will always highly respect Dr. Sossenheiner for taking the time to run the necessary tests to find out what my medical problem were so the health issue could be corrected. I would highly recommend him to anyone knowing he's the doctor that would take the time to run tests to find out if there is a issue with a patient. I wish there were move doctors like him. fyi before I was told by my regular doctor to see Dr. Sossenheiner I was getting my esophagus stetched about every three months and asking the nurse how many people does Dr. Barrnett and the other Doctors I mentioned do a day she indicated 50 plus now that looks like herding as many patients a day just to make money. Dr. Sossenheiner wasn't like that he went through everything and ran all the necessary test and he actually called me back into his office to discuss the results from all the test he did. I will always highly respect this doctor and my regular MD Dr. Brian Drage for referring me to this great Doctor. it's nice to know that there are still some doctors that care about their patients.
