I began seeing him in Jan '16.
June 1 he stopped the Klonopin I had been on for 10-20 years (prescribed by another doctor.) I felt strange so called him on June 2. He adjusted another med I was taking. I left another msg on June 3 - no return call.
I began to have withdrawals on June 5 but thought it was a migraine and went to an afterhours clinic. June 6 I called to let him know about the migraine.
On June 8 I called his office in full withdrawal and scared. He brushed me off saying symptoms would last a couple of days. I was so sick we called 3 times that day. Each time he said I would be ok and ER was not necessary. My mom had to stay with me as the w/d was so bad.
I called on June 9,12,13 (x2),14 (x2) with little improvement (I had stopped vomiting.) I didn't get any call backs. Finally on June 15 I called and he agreed to see me. I told him I was in w/d from Klonopin and he sarcastically asked if I was an expert! He sent me to the ER.
It took 5 days inpatient detox to get me stabilized. I am now on a tapering off schedule so I don't go through the heck I went through before.
DO NOT USE THIS MAN FOR PRESCRIPTIONS though he has a post-doctoral degree in psychopharmacology. The websites do not state whether his degree in psychopharmacology is a PhD or a Masters. This degree can be obtained online but I do not know if that was the case with his degree.
He is not an MD. He is a PhD.
