This review is not of the Doctors at West Suburban. It is of the office/receptionists. For the several years I have seen a Dr. here, they have always been rude. Over the last few weeks, I moved across the country for a job, and informed the Dr. of this. When my new insurance started, they wanted prior authorization from the Dr. I call West Suburban, and she tells me it's not something that can be taken care of until Monday. So I say ok, even though I am out of medication and will have to pay out of pocket. But ok, Monday. I don't hear back until Thursday, and they were calling about something unrelated. I asked what was going on with it and they say there is a $25 fee for it to be processed so I pay the fee. A few days later I call to see what was going on with it, and I get the response "We haven't heard anything back yet, try back Thursday." I call Friday morning, and am told the Dr still has it, and I was never told that it was sent over to insurance. I was very much implied it, but this is being ignroed. That response was infuriating, I say "Don't tell me what I was told, I know what I was told" and she hangs up on me. After 4 times trying to call back, another woman answers and says the last girl I spoke with "took care of" me...In whose world is hanging up on a patient/customer taking care of them? She then went on to avoid any responsibility for the poor communication and blamed the insurance. She eventually worked out another solution, but this was 2 weeks later, and after a lot of misinformation and implications. I honestly don't understand how any of the receptionists have kept jobs at this office for so long. They certainly shouldn't have.
