Reports from this office have continually identified people living with "mild - moderate" brain injury as being "malingerers". The damage that has been done by these reports is absolutely appalling. I want to believe that they have the potential to be good psychologists, but time and time again they identify people who have significant cognitive and behavioral deficits as "faking it". There is a HUGE bias towards insurance companies and attorneys to disprove a person's medical condition.
This is NOT medical or psychological care but $ driven - very few people ever try to fake a brain injury! Conversely, more people in the U.S. are living in denial of their brain injury due to stigmas, the lack of knowledge about the severity of a "blow the head" and the fact that a person with a brain injury cannot "see" the damage due to the fact that their own cognitive filters have been skewed.
Having worked with literally hundreds of People who have sustained brain injuries, I would not recommend most of these practitioners at this office. Sadly to say they have the potential to be good psychologists, but...
