I’ve been a patient for about 10 years (give or take). My depression has had moments of getting better but, with each bought worsened over the years despite following all instructions provided including doing additional treatment when prescribed. With my last episode of depression I received a text message (instead of a phone call at least) that she did not want to keep me as a patient. To receive that text during an episode of depression was not easy to say the least. I thought for many years she cared about my recovery. The last thing a person with depression wants to feel is that their own therapist has given up on them.
