I was diagnosed over 20 years ago with Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Depression. Ive been on medication most of my life as a result. However, since seeing a new Doctor here, they put me on Bipolar1 medicine...and have changed my diagnoses. However, the state that I am in, is just like I was 20 years ago and I know I still have Panic Disorder and GAD...Ive been struggling for the longest time with panic attacks, high blood pressure--etc. I was seeing a therapist here per the Psychiatrists recommendation for grieve since my mother recently passed away, amongst other things in my mind that I struggle with. Lets just say, the therapy sessions with this woman are a complete waste of time. Clearly she is educated and from a spiritual family, but she knows nothing of what it is like to suffer in your own mind, a prison of emotional trauma and PTSD. She asked nothing of my past, nothing about the physical symptoms, nothing about grieving about the death of my mother who was also mentally ill, absolutely nothing from her--no empathy-just a "bubbly everything is what you make it" kind of attitude. I don't even know what she is getting paid for really.
She stated my spouse was a safety net because I have been out of work for the last 3 years. I left my job in 2018 due to Panic Attacks and feeling of Doom that were daily. Customer Service was not easy for me after almost 13 years it got the very best of me. I was also raising my small child and taking care of my late mother as well. She proceeded to tell my that I had blemished my resume because I have not worked in the last 3 years, even though my resume is solid for over 20 years and no gaps at all. I also suffer from High Blood Pressure since my early 20's due to stress and now recently 20 years later what seems to be uncontrolled diabetes. I am taking medicine for that and watching what I eat to the best of my ability at this point but it has not been easy at all. She stated that if I did not exercise then I would DIE. Please stay away from Charlotte Taylor Center as far as a Respectful therapist goes. This woman was completely aloof to my problems and made me feel as if I was wasting her time and mine as well. What a jerk.
