My clients present with a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, low self esteem, history of child abuse or trauma, and relationship difficulties. While the symptoms may differ, I've found that most of my clients' unease stems from a fear that they are unworthy of love and belonging, and feel disconnected from themselves and from others. Using skillful and effective therapy in a style that is curious, collaborative and warm, I can help you cultivate compassion, feel connected to others, and reclaim your self worth. I love what I do, I can't imagine more rewarding or important work.

I specialize in working with younger adults, ages 18-40. Many of my clients come to therapy because they are navigating the difficult tasks of young adulthood: forming serious relationships, establishing careers, or developing their identities.

I have been to several therapists before but Jemila is by far my favorite. She has helped me through so much internal anger and distrust of people along with guiding me through whatever came up in my life. She has helped me develop a closer relationship with my boyfriend. She has helped me forgive my parents for a lot of things that happened in my childhood. She is genuinely the kindest person I know and I would recommend her to anyone who is seeking a counselor. She has done much good with me and I hope to continue seeing her even after I move far away

Since beginning therapy with her, I have recommended her practice to several friends. She is the most sincere, warm and compassionate therapist I have worked with. I am so lucky to have found her, and will continue to see her for as long as I can. Her subtle approach of lovingly challenging clients has drastically improved my life, and continues to do so with every session.
