Cheri Albertson is a nightmare to be avoided at all costs! I have never experienced anything like it before. She is extremely emotionally manipulative, and will gas light you hard. I told her she did not have my permission to treat my since, since my ex took him without asking. She was very aggressive and said she is an expert and the court will believe her over a parent. She said "she had established a relationship, my child needs it, why would I take this away from him?" I told her I'd like to hear it from the court. She then tried to convince me it would be a long hard process to file a motion. I am all for my son seeing a therapist, however when it's a child therapist they are supposed to involve both parents. I really have no idea what this lady is up to, it she is scary, dangerous, and extremely unprofessional. When I brought up her poor reviews online, she tried to gas light me by telling me that was just parents that couldn't intimidate her and so they went online and posted it. That was a easy lie to debunk as the reviews are from people who saw her for therapy themselves.

Throughout the time I had Cheri as my therapist, she proved herself to be nothing but unprofessional and rude.  Giving inaccurate legal information, using her government position in Chelsea as an excuse for a source of accurate information instead of citing government sources which can provide reliable and truthful information.  She accused me of an inability to understand legal documents and comprehend their meaning, claiming that due to her position on Chelsea city council she does.  She also frequently spreads false statements, claiming she had COVID-19 in early January before this virus had even reached the United States and more than 3 months until we would see a confirmed case in Michigan.  Cheri irresponsibly spreads "facts" without knowing whether or not they are true to her patients.  I highly recommend you look elsewhere for a productive therapist that will be worth your while.
