About
I graduated with honors from the UC Davis School of Medicine and completed my psychiatry residency training at UC Davis. In addition to my private practice, I have served as volunteer clinical faculty at the Transcultural Wellness Center for the UC Davis School of Medicine and Department of Psychiatry. I have co-authored a book published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins titled Medical Psychiatry: The Quick Reference, am a member of the American Psychiatric Association, and served on the steering committee on practice guidelines from 2005 to 2007. From 2005- 2007, I received the American Psychiatric Association /AstraZeneca Minority Fellowship Award and am a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Before embarking on my medical career, I served five years as a Naval Intelligence officer.

I am a board certified psychiatrist specializing in a combination treatment approach encompassing both medication management and psychotherapy. My treatment emphasizes the development of an active and collaborative alliance with my patient along with coordinating care with other medical and mental health care providers. I am dedicated to providing high quality, individualized, and empathic care.
