I called Community Hospital of Ottawa on Saturday 1/11/2013 at approximately 2:00pm CST. The operator that answered the call was rather rude and did not direct my call,in fact she hung up on me. I se riously doubt this was done in error because when I called back there was no answer at all. I have in the past received excellent care for my then very young son,that I would rate a 10 on a 1-10 scale. Back to this phone call today/Saturday 1/11/2013 if I were to rate that service, It would be negative to say the least. Rude,not helpful in any way and did not give me the time of day. I am very disappointed and though I did not report or review this before,this is not the first time. It only takes one person and their conduct to give a bad impression of an entire facility. This won't happen with me because I am aware of the professionalism in other parts of the hospital. The doctors,nurses and other staff are excellent. The operator needs to stay home if she can not tolerate her job and hates being there. This is however leading me to call another nearby Hospital where my money will go. You can thank the rude operator who in this day and age does know the number from which I called and could have called back if it were done in error. She was simply rude,seemingly did not want to be at her job and did not do anything but reveal how poorly she conducts customer service.
