Education I am a graduate of the New England School of Acupuncture, where I completed the core curriculum in Chinese Acupuncture as well as studies in the area of Japanese Acupuncture Styles and Chinese Herbal Medicine.
Certification I am certified as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine by The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and am licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Acupuncture Examiners.

I recently saw Lisa to treat hip flexor, sciatica, and constipation issues. I completed an online health history/assessment form through her secure portal before my first appointment. When I arrived, Lisa welcomed me and we sat together to discuss my issues. Lisa showed a sincere interest in wanting to understand my past efforts to treat/improve my issues, and she provided helpful recommendations to couple with acupuncture, to experience optimum treatment. After we completed an approximate 30-minute consultation, Lisa brought me to a private treatment room. I had experienced acupuncture many years prior while living in another state, so Lisa knew I was familiar with the process, but she could tell I was a little nervous. She has wonderful bedside manner and completely put me at ease. She started by treating my backside and asked me how I was feeling after the insertion of almost every acupuncture needle. After everything was in place, she dimmed the light and played relaxing music for me as I stayed on the treatment bed for what I think was about 20 minutes. She returned to repeat the process on my frontside. At the end of the treatment, she applied turmeric lotion to the treated areas and informed me I may feel muscle soreness for a couple of days, which is normal and expected. She was right, I did feel quite a bit of soreness, but after those couple of days, I was completely pain free in my hip, had no sciatica issue, and the constipation issue corrected! I was amazed at what only one treatment accomplished! Lisa advised that I am good to go for now. If I experience the issues creeping back, I will get in touch with her for a maintenance treatment. I appreciated that Lisa was honest to let me know that she didn't think I needed any further treatment at this time. Super impressed with Lisa and wish I had found her sooner!

Lisa has helped me deal with pain and surprisingly, she has treated a 60 year-old scar in my hair that has been itching constantly for most of my life, and each time the indentation from the scar gets less and it has stopped itching. She has helped me deal with sciatica and digestive issues.
