I have been in practice as a Massage Therapist since 1994. As the owner of Mandala Massage Therapy in the resort town of Saugatuck, Michigan, for nearly 8 years, I worked mostly with stressed-out vacationers, in my office and at Bed & Breakfast establishments. At Nurture...Therapeutic Massage and Yoga (in Holland, MI, since 2005), my therapeutic work has been with cancer patients, persons in recovery from drug and alcohol addictions, active elderly clients with whom I do "mobility maintnenece," some of whom have followed me through their late seventies and, now, into their nineties. I am now working with an increasing number of middle-aged clients with chronic pain issues. I am available for on-site seated massage office calls, massage relaxation pamper packages and wellness classes.

I have taught Yoga continuously since returning from teacher training in the winter of 2001. I teach a style of Yoga that emphasized the Koshas: Body awarenwess through Asana; Breath and energy; Mindful awareness of emotion, Intuition and Spiritual connectedness. I incorporate study of the Yamas and Niyamas in my classes. Though I welcome students of all ages, I feel I work best with middle-aged persons. The majority of my students have health or mobility restrictions of some kind. In 2010, I will begin to offer Yoga "mini" getaways offer a short sampling of Yoga practice highlights for those who cannot commit to weekly classes, as well as general Wellness Mini-classes.
