Dr. Gil is one of the best chiropractors in Tennessee. I was told that he would be able to help me after a severe accident that I was in in 2011. I went to a few doctors that couldn’t help me, so I had my MRI’s from the other doctors and made my way over to the Gil center for back neck and chronic pain. Walked in and made an appointment and they saw me that same day but at a later time. Left my MRI’s so Dr. Gil could go over them. The staff at the front desk were very kind and helpful. When I arrived later that afternoon I had to fill out some paperwork. So while waiting on Dr. Gil to come in to examine me some man walked into the room where I was waiting sat down at the table not saying one word to me was reading my personal information and it made me feel a little uneasy 😳 not knowing who this person was. I asked him who are you, he replied I’m doctor Mitchell, I ask where is doctor Kentof and continued to read my information and still not interacting with me. His bedside manners were appalling and then said Dr. Gil will be in in just a few minutes. Still not feeling comfortable wit this so called doctor. Then Dr. Gil arrived coming in another door where I had entered and as soon as he came in the rude doctor hurriedly stood up and moved away from the paperwork and doctor Kentof looked with surprise that he was in there. One thing about Dr.Gil first thing he did was introduced himself unlike the other rude doctor. Dr. Gil asked me what bring me into the office? I told him I was in a car wreak and told him where I was hurting, the rude doctor was on the left side of me and Dr.Gil was on my right as soon as I told him where I was hurting on my left side of my hip that doctor on my left took his finger and pushed down on my him when I was talking with Dr. Gil and when he did that I wasn’t expecting him to do that and the pain was excruciating and I let out a yell loud a gave him a look 👀 you rude.....And Dr.Gil looked at him with a look and pretty much to him to get out because he hurt me. In saying that not all doctors are cut from the same cloth. Dr. Gil was very kind and explained what all we need to do to get me back to feeling better and get my neck and my lower back into alignment. The other doctor was trying to cause problems with Dr. Gil and me telling him lies that I never said so I would let him be the doctor to work on me. The receptionist Amy was also trying to make sure that the rude doctor would be the one working on me. First of all I was recommended to see Dr. Gil not any of the other doctors. I was in severe pain and I wanted to best. So Dr. Gil and I sat down when over what need to be done and I agreed to that and paid a substantial amount money because I believe that Dr. Gil would be able to help me. I ended up doing decompression for my cervical my neck and Dr.Gil and I agreed on me working on my lower lumbar my back with adjustments. I was to come back to the office the following day to get started. Dr. Gil have me an adjustment that afternoon and later called me that evening to see how I was doing and I told him that I was hurting he said to put ice on my back and I told him I already have on there. He said good I thanked him told him I would see him in the morning which was on a Tuesday he told me that he didn’t work on Tuesdays and I was a little concerned than I was worried that that rude doctor was going to be the one to adjust me and I didn’t want him to touch me. So I arrived Lori was Dr.Gil’s assistant and Nathan was putting me on the decomposition table for my lower back and I told him I believe that you have me on the wrong table, Dr.Gil and I discussed that I’m to have decomposition on my neck and we were going to work with my lower back with adjustment. So Nathan went and got Lori and Lori was very apologetic and put me on the correct table. While I was waiting for someone to put me on the correct table that rude doctor Mitchell came over looked at my chart hoping that I was his patient and was a bit perturbed not saying a word to me. So after the decomposition I got my adjustment by Dr. Dearing a very kind and gentle doctor. After everything was done Amy the receptionist asked me how I felt I told her that my neck was hurting and I told her that I will wait for Dr. Gil in the morning I had to come back that next day and she would not listen to me or take I’ll wait for Dr.Gil and she when and got the doctor I didn’t want him touching me. He came in I told him where I was hurting took my leg spun it around without adjusting it and cracked my neck with force. I went to check out and I told her I didn’t want that doctor to touch me anymore I will wait for Dr.Gil and she said ok. I came back take next day Dr.Gil was there I came in for my decomposition first and went and had my adjustment was called on to the adjustment room where Dr. Gil was and he seemed a bit putout and said Lynda I thought we had an agreement that we would work with you lower back and do decomposition on your neck, I said yes sir that’s correct and I think a little shocked at my response. He said oh okay. I believe that rude doctor Mitchell told Dr. Gil that I was acting another way when I wasn’t. So Dr. Gil and I started on our journey of getting me well and it was working. Dr. Gil knows his craft I keep getting better and better each time I would go in for my treatments. I’ve recommended many people to go to The Gil Center before they had surgery. If I didn’t believe he could do that I would never send anyone there. So yes I highly recommend this doctor wholeheartedly. He’s the best. 🤗👍

the office staff is very friendly, yes, but this is overshadowed by Dr. Gil's lack of professionalism at times. in a recent visit where i chose to cancel a $4000.00 plan, Dr. Gil was obviously put out by it. He was rude when discussing what i owed him for one visit and i felt he was "nickel and diming" me. i spoke up. not everyone will. i reduced that bill from 354.00 to 150.00 by challening him on what he was charging and for what. he again got so frazzled, he got up, and walked out stating, "have a nice day" I was considering returning on a day by day basis in lieu of paying $4000.00 up front to commit to 20 weeks of something i am unsure of. Well, that move surely helped me make my decision. Unprofessional and rude is not the way to treat one's patient. The office is packed, I will say that, and i am sure folks are feeling good; I am not against chiropractic nor what he may be able to accomplish for me; but his way of handling today;s incident speaks volumes to me. the end.
