I would NEVER take my dog to this emergency room. I went with my boyfriend when his dog (Paco) was extemely ill. We took Paco to ASH emergency and were left waiting for nearly an 2 hours. No one asked or cared about how Paco was doing. My boyfriend had to go and physically look for staff members to find out when we going to be seen. We can hear them chatting with each other in the back loud and clear. When he found a member of the staff they were clearly unhappy he had entered the "STAFF ONLY" section. That was when we given some information of when we would be seen. When the dr finally came to see us he just did a routine physical (concentrating on Paco's knees). My boyfriend told the Dr that he had researched the symptoms on line and that Paco's symptoms looked a little like arthriitis but looked like the arthritic episodes came in spurts. Paco wasn't in constant pain. Without doing any kind of tests, the Dr. diagnosed Paco with arthritis and old age. He prescribed pain medication and told us we could use homeopathic supplements to help with his arthritis. Then we were promptly dismissed left to pay $125.00 for the incompetent exam and arthritis pain medication. The next day (when Paco's regular vet was open. He became ill on a holiday) his regular vet did the necessary test to properly diagnose him. It turned out he was having seizures due to his flea preventive medication. That is something a REAL vet figures out when they do the proper blood and neurological tests. I DO NOT recommend this emergency room. You would be better off researching your pets symptoms on the web and diagnosing them yourself. You would be more accurate and it wouldn't cost you an arm and a leg.
