Dr. Kathy was literally the mother I never had, but wish I did even still today. As a college student, she pushed me to be the absolute best I possibly could be. I had many issues when I was sent to her, and though at the very beginning I was not the most optimistic about having any part of my awesome college life taken away, but quickly changed my mind after a few meetings. During the years that I visited Dr. KAthy, she completely changed my life and taught me ways to cope with my stress and depression that I still use today. I have never seen such a caring doctor in my life and I had someone looking over me the day that I Was sent to her, I could not have seen anyone better. Unfortunately, due to my fathers changing employment, after seeing her for about 2-3 years, we were put on an insurance plan not accepted by her office (understandably, as I am also a Psychology major and understand the hardships providers face with these insurance companies.) And while it's been years, I have never forgotten about her and hope that I am able to see her again. Because, in addition to being the most kind, compassionate, and absolutely caring (professionally of course) individuals I have ever met, she also used her terrific skills and was legitimately able to reduce the amount of times of day I would think negatively about myself (cognitive behavioral therapy is I believe something she specialized in!,) and for years I was able to keep the worst of my anxiety at bay due to the confidence and reassurance she gave me, without even resorting to any of my prescribed anxiety medications (except for during the panic attacks, which also became more rare in her care.) It was amazing, she is a very intelligent and talented psychotherapist and you are definitely missing out if you do not give her a chance, because she is worth it! I would suggest absolutely ANYONE go see her--she is not just a therapist or counselor, she is a teammate rooting for you to do your absolute best and is wiling to support you every step of the way, without impeding on your own personal improvement or helping you do anything other than help YOURSELF, and that is what we all need. I can most definitely say that out of any therapist I could imagine ever seeing, Dr. Kathy is the most trustworthy, and definitely the most caring out of most, if not all of the doctors these days. I strongly recommend her; I know I would not have become as successful as I did without her guidance, and if I am lucky I will get the chance to meet with her again. You will absolutely not regret confiding in her, and though you may not always hear what you want to hear, you will hear not only what you need to but also why you need to. It is so very important to have someone you can confide in like this, and the fact that she is so good at what she does makes her the absolute perfect therapist. Though I saw her as a College Student, I hopefully plan to see her again one day, and if she was not a good therapist I guarantee I would not still be seeking her advice so many years later! Thank you for all you have done for those who have sought your help Dr. Kathy, I can personally attest that you were not only my therapist but also like the mother I never had, and having your support and influence in my life led me to make the best decisions for myself, and during those few years I did better academically, financially, and in my relationships than I ever had. If you are blessed enough to receive an appointment with her, please do not pass it up! You will most definitely not regret going, go at least once and I promise you'll be back! <3

Did not display knowledge of a true professional. I am now going into counseling myself and must say she did not display a keen sense of observation. I had PTSD and liven in an abusive household and she tried to diagnose me with a personality disorder, let alone not being at the proper age for diagnosis. Would definetly not recommend to anyone unless you are an abuser.
