A little girl asked her grandmother why life is sometimes so painful. Her grandmother looked at her, considering a moment before speaking.
We all have an eagle and a serpent inside of us. The serpent brings thoughts and feelings of worthlessness, and the idea that it is other people that cause us to feel that way.
She paused, and then continued.
The eagle flies high, sees far, and hopes to gain clear understanding and wisdom. My granddaughter, life gets difficult during those times when the eagle and the serpent are locked in a necessary and mortal fight to the finish.
The granddaughter pondered for a while what her grandmother had just told her. Then she asked,
Which one wins?
The one you feed wins.

They have a very good professional reputation. I know that I'm under the care of an expert. I love that they are always more than happy to answer my questions, and actually welcome questions. I've felt awkward at some other places I've visited when I've tried to ask a lot of questions, but not here. I was completely at ease during my appointment here. They went to great lengths to make sure I was completely relaxed and comfortable the entire time. They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Their primary concern is my safety and comfort, and they always take the time to address every concern of mine immediately.
