About

Mark Liston, Counselor

Mark began practice here in 1987 and enjoys helping clients overcome their life challenges. During the years we kept count, over 85% of those who sought marital counseling stay married. Those coming for individual and family problems enjoyed even better results. We like to think this is because we care about clients. Mark doesn't treat everyone with the same approach but listens and responds to their needs. Rather than tell them what to do, he helps them look at themselves and their situation in a way that enables them to see what they need to do. He shares options that clients use to make their own decisions and strategies.
Mark says, "It's hard to explain my approach but my clients like the results. They come back and encourage their friends to come here."

Mark is VERY unprofessional. Shared information told in confidence with my pastor and his wife. Shared true and false information about me with several people using enough identifying information that they could figure out who I was. Said I was possessed, had multiple personality disorder, cheated on my ex-husband, scammed my ex-husband out of his retirement , have Narcissistic Personality Disorder, flirted with him repeatedly, and am a closet lesbian.

I am thankful to Mark Liston for allowing himself to be used by God to lead me out of a seventeen-year bondage to an eating disorder and destructive lifestyle. I reluctantly began treatment only as a means to be admitted into a treatment center. His name had been given to me by an in-patient facility since a referral by a professional was required. I felt certain that my only hope was to be “locked up” somewhere in order to protect myself from “me”. I never could have hoped for or imagined how beautifully my deliverance could come about. Mark gently led me to understand and receive God’s amazing grace. As he taught me to understand my relationship with God, I was able to take steps toward freedom. I no longer live in fear and regret of each new day. I am free and strong and strive to share what I was taught. Mark uses God’s resources to bring complete healing to soul and spirit. Divine healing is eternal healing and I will forever be grateful to Mark for where I am today—FREE IN CHRIST!
