I've worked with Dr. Daisy for a little over a month for an eating disorder. She is able to use her experience and education in psychology to really challenge thoughts and behaviors. She doesn't engage in arguments or games one's eating disorder mind may be presenting to her. She's right to the point and will tell you exactly as she sees it but is also very realistic. She is prepared for slips and bumps and is there to talk through it at appointments and plan for the future. Dr. Daisy has empowered me to start taking ownership of my recovery, helping me to realize I am an adult and no one is going to stop me or save me, only I can do that. In the last month, my eating has increased substantially and no, it's not anywhere where it ideally should be, that will take time and I am glad Dr. Daisy is along for the ride.

Dr. Daisy is also collaborating with my therapist who is not a specialist in eating disorders. She is educating my therapist and together they are working as a team to help me. In a sense, she has taken the responsibility to follow the eating disorder from my therapist so I can use therapy time on other concerns and issues in my life.

We'll see where I am in months to come but I am hopeful.
