This veterinarian was not very friendly to either me or my pet. That didn't sit well with me. When the receptionist is his wife she is not helpful nor competent. Their phone does not work on a regular basis. One day I drove in anyways even when the phone wasn't working. His wife was receptionist that day. I suspect that they turn the phones off when she is the receptionist. (When his receptionist is the paid gal she is VERY COMPETENT.)

His examination room is dirty and messy. The exam table had not been cleaned since the last animal and it showed. There were bottles of liquid medicine throughout the room, one of which was the medicine used for Euthanasia (left on the counter).

If you are looking for a veterinarian that offers competency, full-service, full-hours and after-hour emergency services then don't come here!

It's hard enough getting them to see me during regular business hours and it is really unsettling to me that I can't count on them when I may need them more than ever.

Nothing was accomplished during my pet's appointment. I was extremely dissatisfied with both the veterinarian and how things went.

The Dr. would not look at my dog's records but insisted instead, on calling my regular vet who is a teaching professor (and appropriately difficult to reach on the phone for the small window the Quartzsite vet is open). (The Qtz Dr. does not use the internet). The Qtz Dr. could not reach the teaching prof vet so he wanted me to come in WITHOUT my dog so he could "go over the paperwork" that I had previously offered.

Dr. Hadlock was confused by taking a routine blood sample for testing. He was not prepared to send in any blood to be tested at a lab. I am the one who found a lab for him. I was quite upset with the Dr.'s lack of competency.

I just returned from an office visit with Skipper my 14 year old Dachshund. I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Hadlock since the 1970s. I have had weekend emergencies and he has taken care of those promptly. Even if his waiting room is overflowing he never rushes the time he spends with my animals. Everyone there makes an extra effort to be polite, courteous and patient. Dr. Hadlock's many years of experience instills confidence for the countless pet owners he is involved with. A rural veterinarian is truly a rare breed.
