Our physicians bring world-class training to eastern Kentucky from the country’s top cancer institutions such as Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is consistently ranked as the number one cancer institution by “US News and World Report”.
ABCC offers many treatment options, the standards of cancer care: chemotherapy and radiation and breakthrough treatments including Radioimmunotherapy and Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT). IMRT is the greatest advance in radiation oncology in the last 40 years. IMRT enables a tumor to receive the maximum dose of radiation while sparing surrounding tissues and organs. Another treatment option, surgery, is available through our on campus affiliate, Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
Advanced cancer screening tools are available to patients of the cancer center. Ashland-Bellefonte Cancer Center is pleased to offer the most advanced technology for detecting cancer- thePET/CT scanner. X-rays, mammograms, and bone scans are available at the hospital.
Clinical Trials are offered to our patients through our affiliation with the Cleveland Clinic. At ABCC we are committed to finding a cure and helping patients live a more productive life and having quality of life. Several clinical trial protocols are available for those patients that qualify.
