Dr. Porter performed a tonsilectomy for me over a year ago. He was great to answer all my questions and I felt like my visits went fine. I waited for the swelling to go down after the surgery and let my throat heal completely. I looked in my throat and my uvually was gone! I wondered why I was having such a difficult time swallowing and taking my medication. Water burned my throat so bad I cried just trying to take my medication. I made an appointment to have him look at it. He did a scope and I asked him where my uvualla went. He said he didn't know. He never even mentioned that it was a possibility to be removed, nor did he tell me after surgery. I feel like he accidently cut it out during surgery and now I have to deal with swallowing problems the rest of my life. I went to another doctor to get a second opionion and he said it was definitely cut out. I went back AGAIN to see dr. Porter. He did another scope but didn't have any answers for me. I'm happy he took my tonsils out but not my uvula. I'm choking constantly and it's been over a year, and it hasn't improved. I'm upset and will not be going back to him again.
