I am absolutely disgusted with MacLean Pharmacy in Harrison, Mi. We have always tried to help independent merchants and have been satisfied with them in the past. On 9-23, my husband picked up a prescription for me that I have a zero co-pay from Walmart but since we try to help local merchants we got it at MacLeans instead.I did expect to pay a co pay but what they charged was outrageous. The copay he paid was 24.00. When I called to ask why it was so much, I was told it was taken over by Rite Aid as of midnight so they charged me Rite Aid's prices instead of the prices I had been getting from MacLean's prior to the take over. There was no signs that Rite Aid would be taking them over, nor did anyone say a word about it. If I wanted to do business with Rite Aid, I would have. I did not because they always charge more than other pharmacies.They will not refund me the money or (by law you cannot take the prescription back). At this point I am out the money and there is nothing I can do about it but complain about their underhanded practices, which I am doing. I will never again feel the same about independent businesses as I did before. Lesson learned.
