Avondale Animal Hospital opened in June 2017 - come visit our brand new 3,200 square foot facility on 5th Avenue South. With 3 examination rooms, a modern surgical suite, separate cat area to keep felines less stressed, and fully-stocked pharmacy and store, we can take care of all your pet’s veterinary needs.
Our veterinary hospital is new to Forest Park and South Avondale, but our veterinarians and vet staff cared for patients and clients at Birmingham's Southside Animal Hospital since 1981. Dr. Kendall Harris and Dr. Michael Atchison look forward to meeting you and your pets! From preventative care & wellness, pet allergies, surgery, dental care and microchipping, Avondale Animal Hospital is here to be your partner in your pet’s health!
If an emergency arises, we can treat pet emergencies and critical care cases during business hours (Monday – Friday, 7 am – 6 pm). Call 322-8566 to schedule an appointment!
