I have had some friendly staff assist me in the past; however, there is definitely an elitist attitude--"more organic than thou", if you will. On one visit I asked if they carried a particular supplement. The response I received was, "Oh, is that the latest from Dr. Oz?" It was so condescending, I was amazed. It was as though I was judged by my appearance to be someone who follows fads, not a "true" health food aficionado.
The staff is not the friendliest and they only speak when spoken to. You have to find them to ask a question, they don't offer to help you if they see you looking for something you can't find. I would rather drive to whole foods 90 miles away than deal with the coldness of earth mother. Maybe it depends on what you look like or how you dress?
