This is a very nice, clean, friendly & convenient facility...
THAT IS UNTIL I DEALT WITH ONE OF THE NURSES THERE BY THE NAME OF “SHELLY”.... I have been a patient of MIWLC for about 5 years off and on. I even moved to Ocala (2 & a half hours away) and the clinic would mail my meds to me... I am one that goes on the meds for months then off months (as not to become addicted to meds. Ect) anyways, to make a long story short, AS ANYONE WOULD DO THE SAME, IM SURE, I would pay to have my meds sent to me for awhile and then go off for awhile. Well, last April, I was asked to come in or have a dr send my blood pressure ect to them to continue meds, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF MY MEDICATION RENEWAL (in which at first I was calling month by month to get my meds sent to me) and being 2 & a half hours away, that was QUITE THE INTERRUPTION OF MY WEIGHT LOSS PLAN AND MY MEDICATION, so THIS TIME they went ahead and sent me my meds for the month and stated that I was to come in before next months refill, WHICH WAS ABSOLUTELY MORE CONVENIENT)..... well, now I am back on the meds to lose the weight I had gained due to an injury of my leg. And I was right in the MIDDLE OF MY PROGRAM, and I had called last week to have my refill sent to me, and TODAY, 4 DAYS LATER, a nurse named “SHELLY” calls me and stated that she won’t send me my medication until I come in (NOT EVEN GOING THROUGH MY RECORDS WHERE SHE COULD SEE THAT I DONT STAY ON THE MEDICATION THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE YEAR, I’m usually ON FOR 3-5 mos and OFF for 3-6 mos), but SHE SPEAKS OVER ME, AND RUDELY TELLS ME THAT IT IS NOT HER JOB TO REMIND ME AS TO WHEN IT IS GETTING CLOSE TO WHEN THEY WOULD BE WANTING ME TO COME IN FOR A CHECK UP........ well,, WHOS JOB IS IT THEN..??? I DONT GET PAID FOR THAT, I WOULD THINK THAT THE EMPLOYEES THERE WOULD/SHOULD TAKE CARE OF THAT.......:!!!!! Anyways, INSTEAD OF MEETING ME IN THE MIDDLE AND SENDING MY MEDS FOR ME TO CONTINUE (INSTEAD OF ABRUPTLY MESSING UP MY PROGRESS) and telling me that I would have to come in for a check up in order to get my next medication refill,, WOULD HAVE BEEN A MUCH MORE CONVENIENT AND ETHICAL THING TO DO..... I have NEVER BEEN TALKED TO LIKE AN IRRESPONSIBLE CHILD BEFORE BY ANYONE, LET ALONE A NURSE WHOM IS SUPPOSED TO BE FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL.....
I am NOT badmouthing this facility, AT ALL... there are TRULY SWEET AND PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE HERE... I just so happened to UNFORTUNATELY MEET ONE OF THE VERY FEW NONPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE AND IGNORANT NURSES/EMPLOYEES.... All I guess I am saying is ,,,, JUST TRY AND AVOID “”SHELLY””, IF AT ALL POSSIBLE AND IF YOU ARE LUCKY, YOU WONT HAVE TO BE DEGRADED AND TREATED LIKE A CHILD... I JUST CANNOT BELIEVE WHAT I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH...... BEWARE ,,,,, UNBELIEVABLE...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
