Established in 2006
The periodontal practice of Dr. Jin Y. Kim was established in Diamond Bar in the year 2006.
The original practice was established by a distinguished periodontist, Dr. Jeffrey R. Morgulis in 1975. As one of the first dental specialists in the area, Dr. Morgulis was both respected and popular amongst the dental community, and more importantly, by his patients. Due to his health conditions, Dr. Morgulis had to retire early, and Dr. Kim and his partner Dr. Ling assumed the practice in March 2006.
A periodontist is a dental specialist who works in conjunction with general dentists to treat gum disease (periodontal disease) and place and maintain dental implants. Although a referral is generally required, one may request an evaluation by a periodontist without a referral. As gum disease is mostly preventable, early diagnosis and treatment is highly recommended.
