I was disgusted by multiple things at this facility. First off I have never heard of shared rooms in a hospice. Second the nurses did not even care about the patients at all. When alerting a nurse to the fact the woman sharing my grandmothers room was awake, the nurse said "oh what now?!" It's horrible. My father was in hospice at St. Joseph's in Wayne and they were amazing!! They were a staff that cares. The hospice wing at st. Clare's deserted. No one coming to offer last rights, no one coming in occasionally to see if the patient is in pain, and certainly no one offering kind words to the families who are saying goodbyes to their loved one! If you are ever in a situation like mine look for another alternative! Do send your loved ones here!!
