My mother was at Brian's House for almost three months. The entire staff was great to her the entire time she was there. Yes, there were always on top of her meds, changing her bed, etc. However, what impressed me most was the personal care and intangibles she received. They cared for her as a person, spent time with her, held her hand if she was having a bad episode, and did whatever they could to make her feel as welcome and comfortable as possible.

Moreover, they were always openly communicative and caring with stressed out me, answering questions extensively to the best of their ability, being open and understanding, or even just listening to me ramble when I felt worried or confused.

The closest thing I have to a complaint is that my mom said the meal quality varied greatly according to who was cooking a particular meal.

Nevertheless, she liked the meals sometimes and was still very happy and grateful to have found Brian's House. I thank them for making a traumatic time for both her and me go as well as possible.

I can't recommend Brian's House more highly.

My Dad was in this hospice for both respite and his final days. It was wonderful to have him here. I felt confident that he was in good hands. From the nurses at the front desk 24/7 to the cafeteria staff and the counselor on hand they were kind and pleasant. This hospice is clean, well presented quiet and calm. It's exactly what a hospice should be. When I noticed that the bird feeders outside of my Dad's room didn't have seed they filled it. We were moved because of noise from neighboring construction (they asked if we wanted we didn't have to as them), when we arrived at the new room the bird feeder was being filled. Nice of them to recall that Dad loved watching the birds, granted he was in a coma but it made us feel good that his simplest needs were being looked after. I would and have recommended Brian's House to others.
