Ofer Jacobowitz, MD, PhD, FAASM, FAAOA is a nationally and internationally recognized expert in obstructive sleep apnea. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in life sciences. He continued his studies at the medical scientist training program of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and graduated with a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and an MD degree. Dr. Jacobowitz performed his postgraduate training in Otolaryngology — Head and Neck Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center where he is currently an assistant clinical professor. He is Board-Certified in Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery as well as Sleep Medicine, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy.

He is an expert member of the Outcome Measures Task Force for Adult OSA of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and has served as Chair of the sleep-related breathing disorders section and all membership sections from 2012 to 2013. Dr. Jacobowitz is the recipient of the honor award of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery where he is also a member of the Sleep Disorders and the Medical Devices Committees. Dr. Jacobowitz has published extensively in the field of sleep apnea and is a peer reviewer for scientific journals. He specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of snoring and sleep apnea for adults and children, as well as sinusitis, nasal obstruction, thyroid cancer and head and neck cancer.

This is the second time I have seen Dr. Jaclobowitz. He is very informative, friendly and you certainly get the feeling that he knows exactly what he is doing....and you'd be right. He also takes the time to explain what he feels is the problem and what both you and they can do to correct it.
As far as the office, parking and the staff goes, it could not have been more efficient, easy and courteous.
Lets face it, nobody really wants to go to a doctor but if you have to, this is the place to go for ENT and related problems... I have nothing but praise for the Doctor and his staff
