Room 509 on 10/6/13 I was visiting my pt's husband. While we were there he had an episode. The ambulance was called and they came and took him to West Marion Hosp...During all this I was consoling MY PT the mans wife who has DEMENTIA and was VERY UPSET. Upon leaving the unit I questioned the young Nurse and CNA should we take the husbands clothes or anything left in the room home with us. They in turn said no and snickered at us. I said well that would be something that would occupy my pt. As we walked away the young nurse and CNA began to whisper and laugh at us..thank goodness MY PT did not hear them..THIS was DISRESPECTFUL....YOUR staff should be taught PROFESSIONAL ETHICS. I would NEVER send or recommend your establishment to anyone!!!!!
It's shocking how little they seem to care about customer service. From my experience It appears as if customers are never put first here. The staff is incredibly rude and seem to care more about themselves. My wife was transferred from West Marion, only to receive timely infusions, intravenously, by an RN. She needs no rehabilitation of any sort, yet she is being forced to go thru rigorous exercise training. The constant interruptions plus a "roommate" who screams all night allow her no sleep what-so-ever.
The only word that I can think of that depict this place is a ZOO! (capitals intend) The worst part is that "animals" in this zoo are about 50/50 STAFF!
