I have a brother that has broken his hand while in thier care and now is in rehab trying to walk again, after breaking his foot there.The owner is driven by taking the peoples monthly checks,and has no business to be using his house, to take mentally ill people in with no proper accomodations that these people need to live a life of quality in there condition. He just feeds them and gives them a very small bedroom to sleep in, with 2 beds per room.
There is a major septic problem there , you can smell it as soon as you drive near the place. Somedays worst then others.They have 3 floors that is accessed from the outside by steep wooden stair cases that my brother was mjade to climb everyday with a brace on his leg.There is no proper sitting room where family can come to visit and sit and talk privately. There are never any meetings, to discuss what is going on with your love ones. There is no paper work of any kind, this owner does not answer to anyone, he totally takes these people in and makes them his own. When my brother got injured with his hand and foot, he never called me, I found out by calling there on a Sunday morning and a part time helper went up stairs to tell him he had a call and my brother told her he had hurt his foot the nigt before and couldn, t come down stairs to answer the phone to talk to me. She said she was not made aware of this, when she came in to work that morning.He has been get a monthly check for my brother every month since he has been there, three years, same time my mom died.
After 3 years he tells me now that I wasn,t sending him enough and now he keeps sending me bills, of back payments with astronimical amounts of interests tacked on to it, what started off me, supposebly owing him $4,000.00 has turned into 40,000.00, which he sent into the I.R.S. as I being the reason, he owes the I.R.S. Now the I.R.S wrote me a letter that they are putting a levy on me.I have a strong feeling, this is the way he operates his business, and could be doing this to some of the other residents.I am my brothers legal guardian for 28 years and always have been there for him. I decided to give up being payee for my brother in October 2010, because of the harassment brought on me from the owner of this house that my brother lives.I am now in the process og getting an attorney, because this man has big money problems, and he is using me to get money by creating up figures that I owe him for my brother being in his house. My brother goes to day care 5 days a week,and spends the rest of his time upstairs in that house in his little bed room, doing nothing. So...if you ever hear of this place and are thinking of putting your love one there or know of someone, please, stop..do not go there!
