I have been in the health care field for 20 years and even when I dislike someone I am professional. That is my job! I am an administrator as well so I know how you're Supposed to act. Unfortunately, this was not the case here! If you choose to work in a nursing home with elderly and sick patients you better be prepared for family to be emotional! The nurses are/were fabulous! Lisa, Jennifer, and all the others showed kindness! The administrators were horrible! They wanted our money and daddy not to pass. They fought us every step of the way when it came time for hospice! They suggested the hospice to use. I had to show my bad side just to get things accomplished. My dad was mistreated because they didn't like me! Admin is supposed to run the place and not make judgements against family when a family member is dying a slow painful death! I would highly recommend another home for your loved one. In 43 years I've never seen my daddy cry and momma hadn't either but they still fought us and told all staff how horrible we were. If I was in charge and my employees acted like that they would be dismissed immediately! Gossiping is unacceptable and convincing the dr we were lying is unacceptable. Falsifying MARS reports is a felony and an issue for the DEA and Hospital joint commission. Ricky (unsure of spelling) Dorothy, dena, and dr cheek (unsure of spelling) were more interested in gossiping than doing their jobs! Let me reiterate the nurses were kind and did all they could but the admins are ALL unkind, unorganized, and can't remember what they told you five minutes ago. I've never been more disappointed in my life!!

Multiple times I entered my Dads room and he was in distress or very agitated because he could not get any help and his call light had been put where he could not reach it. Every time my Mom, sister or I would ask a question, no one could ever answer it. The response would be "I don't know, I just got here". Do they not have a chart to read? Is things not recorded in said chart? My Dads stuff was constantly being misplaced. Hospice took him home on Jan. 27th and He died on February 1. My family and I feel he would have lived longer if he would have received better care at this facility. They may be good for people who are able to somewhat take care of themselves, but for those who need help, I DO NOT recommend this nursing home. Most of the employees were friendly but they were very lazy. They would mark or say they had given him a shower when they hadn't, my Dad had tremors and could not feed himself, unless one of us could be there, he didn't eat because he had no help. They repeatedly lied to my Mom about stuff. When your family, who you love, is at the mercy of people you do not trust, it is very scary. You do not know what is being done or not being done when you cannot be with them.
