A nice environment for rehab, mostly. I chose Pisgah manor to begin rehab from hip replacement surgery last week because it was close to our home and had DirecTV available. FWIW the quality of the TV in my room was pretty bad, but viewable. The PT and nursing staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Responsiveness to my requests for assistance using the call button ranged was occasionally overly long but may have caused by the needs of other patients. The food ranged from dismal to acceptable to quite good. Bring your own hot sauce if you want to make it palatable. The heating/cooling unit under the window was notoriously bad, either making the room too hot or too cold.
Not your typical Nursing Home, Its brand new, clean and well layed out. Staff are friendly and nice. The single rooms are large and the bathroom has everything needed for what ever stage of recovery your in. The food is excellent and they receive large portions. The patients can eat in their rooms or have nice common areas to eat and relax with others. I have a phobia of nursing homes, I cant stand the smell and I never panicked and actually enjoy visiting my adopted mother, while she recoups, before going home next door to the Pisgah Villas Assisted living . She loves both places.
