New Dawn Retirement Community began in 1976, after years of experience went into designing and building the modern, state-of -the-art facility the New Dawn is today. Locally owned and operated by the Hershberger family, New Dawn provides the comfort and professionalism that you would expect to receive from one of your own family members. Community means that when you need the services at New Dawn, you can count on the staff, and the Hershberger family, to be there for you.Here at New Dawn Retirement Community, we are concerned with our resident’s individual needs. We understand a person needs to feel wanted and cared for, and a need to be productive. Our rehabilitation and physical, occupational, and speech therapy is designed with the resident as a participant. We believe by helping in a Christian spirit, we can help people help themselves.

Services Here on our beautiful, spacious 13.5 acres, our centers offer assisted living, professional nursing care, independent living and child care. We have recreation facilities for all residents regardless of ability. We feature the latest in fire protection equipment, including a complete sprinkler system and a smoke detector system. Our concern for our residents’ safety includes the ability to transport any resident in need of hospital emergency care to nearby Union Hospital.
