My mother went to Mercy Terrace to rehab from her knee replacement. The rooms were not situated for joint replacement patients. The staffing was borderline criminal (1 LPN and 1 Aide for 18 patients). Intake took more than 3 hours and 3 cycles of medication were missed before the pharmacy got her medications. The LPN who did her intake and was the only one staffing the floor YELLED at us when we protested and told us that was standard procedure. When she was finally given pain medication 12 hours late (she was crying in pain as she was only 3 days post operative) they treated her (and me!) like a drug addict. There was no assist to the rest room (although she had never been without a 2 person assist in the hospital) and there were no grab bars or ways to move a wheel chair into the rest room. She made a fairly speedy recovery as the PT department was phenomenal (too bad they are now OUTSOURCING the PT rather than keeping the stellar staff they had!) and also because she was super motivated to get OUT of that miserable place. As an aside, the food was absolutely horrid. I wouldn't put my worst enemy in that place, none-the-less my mother.

This place is a joke. My grandmother sat in her for 50 min. waiting on a nurse to arrive after pushing the call button. Then she wanted to argue with me when she did arrive. Defiantly not a high quality place for senior citizens to be living.

No, if they had music on it was very soothing
