This is I regard to the meals. It was 5:45 when the evening meal was brought out and some of the other residents in the dining room did not get theirs until 6pm. What is the since of filling out meal selections the day before if it is going to take so long for meals to be served. As I was bringing my mother back to her room I noticed to meal trays on the counter at the nurses station without hot covers jut sitting there getting cold.
Also my mother is 102 years old and they are getting her up at 5:30 in the morning dressed and ready for the day. That is too early for her to sit in her wheel chair waiting for her morning meal. She is also to be put down for a nap every day at 2pm and gotten up at 4pm. This has not been done and when dinner times comes she is so tired it is hard for me to get her to eat anything. I wonder sometimes what the CNA'S do all day long. It sure isn't making sure tat the residents are well taken care of. I have noticed people hanging around and talking, some on cell phones talking to someone or playing games.

I may not b professionally trained as a care giver but I know I could certainly do a better job than some of them do. It is a shame that there isn't a better run nursing home in the area because I would move her there. Since my mother has been there. There has been a changed in administrators at least three times, DON's at least four times and changes in CNA's and LPN's. Something is wrong in the way this facility is being run and how employees are treated, wages wise and appreciation wise. You need to get your acts together. It doesn't help that the upper management is states away either. How do you know what is going unless you are there observing what goes on.
