My mother has been in McClure's since early March 2012. Her husband was already there, so she was placed in a room with him. It has been a nightmare dealing with the administration staff. My mother has been unhappy with not only her care but her husband's as well. He passed on June 27th. I was never called, neither was his family and they had our contact information to do so. His family called the Coroner's office to find out where the remains were. To date, they have not told either family the whereabouts of his remains. A Prayer Memorial Service took place without them on 9//8/12.

Recently they moved my mother from the room she shared with my step-father without any notice to a room with 3 other beds. No discussion of a change in cost and the way they packed her belongings and stuffed them in two boxes and a cabin is appalling. They also allow a person they knew to pry her diamond and ruby ring off her finger and never reported to the authorities. They only got the ring back after I threatened to call the police. The week they moved my mother I was there on Monday, so mention of her being moved was told to me and I spoke with Molly, one of the Social Worker when I was there that day. Since they moved her we can't call her direct, so you have to call a number they give to you and they take that phone to the patient. You only get someone to answer that phone by call the main number first and ask them to answer it. Otherwise it usually goes unanswered. That leaves no way to contact my mother. Her sister is very concerned about her welfare and so is the rest of her family.

I think McClure's should be shut down. They're not just stopping with my mother with the behavior they have displayed to me and several people that have come with me to visit my mother. I'm removing my mother from there before the month is out. After calling the Umbubsunn and Adult Protective Services removing her from this facility is the only way to protect her. I have proof to backup what I'm saying and this is just a little bit of the story. I will be signing my correct information to these comments and I'll include it here. Mwanza Furaha
