My father attended this facility for a short rehab stay. The staff was ok, sloppy at times with technique. On more than one occasion, they spilled ensure all over my Dad's shoes while trying to feed through the feeding tube. Oh, and they lost his dentures and then wouldn't respond back to me after several inquiries. It was clear the administrator was avoiding me after I filed a complaint. And when Dad was d/c from the facility, I still had not heard a peep from them although I followed up with a call on several occasions. So, unfortunately I had to take them to small claims court. The staff is so-so, no real complaints about them, but administration is rude and inconsiderate.
We were not called to tell us that our family member was dying. Letters were not answered and telephone calls to the director about our distress at not being present when he died were not returned. Phone call to social services was not returned. Wanted an explanation about why we were not notified that death was imminent. We were all nearby and could have been there in minutes.
Manorcare Health Services was a wonderful experience on EVERY front! Every aspect of the care received was EXCEPTIONAL.
**FANTASTIC staff! Professional, well-trained, friendly, helpful and responsive. Everything from the insurance paper work to the physical therapy to the food service was handled with excellence. **Beautiful, well-appointed, clean, light & bright, comfortable facility.
Our family is so appreciative of the care our Mom received at Manorcare Health Services. We could not have asked for a better experience. Since she had a 5 week stay, it was important for her to feel safe, happy and comfortable, which she was every single day of that 5 weeks!
