The staff on days and afternoons was good. The midnight shift was terrible. The facilities are kept clean however they are so outdated and old. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw all tile floors. Community bathrooms. The wheel chairs had rust and some were missing parts. The bibs they had for meals did not stay attached as the Velcro fasteners were worn out. When I asked for one that would stay around my Dad's neck I was told all the bibs were like that. The facility didn't have bed alarms in case my Dad would fall out of bed, so I was told by one of the workers that I should remind my Dad to "stay in his bed". These were the issues that lead us to transfer my Dad after only two days to Saline Evangelical. There is absolutely no comparison. Saline's facility is light years ahead of Herrick Manor. I would not take a dying dog to Herrick. My name is David Mcloughlin
